British Columbia ghost town atlas / Garnet Basque.
"When Mr. Paterson began working on his Encyclopedia of Ghost Towns & Mining Camps of B.C. in 1997, something became readily apparent--British Columbia has an enormous amount of ghost towns. More surprising--most had never been written about before. Without question, Mr. Paterson is the acknowledged expert on B.C. ghost towns, having researched and written far more than anyone could ever hope to duplicate. Yet there are so many sites that even Mr. Paterson could not hope to cover them all. The lack of space also prevented the use of detailed maps. So Mr. Paterson was instructed to concentrate on writing while I found someone to produce an independent book of maps. Unfortunately, this was easier said than done. Finaly, I realized that if the project were to be completed properly, I would have to carry it through myself."-- from publisher.
